Mid-level Android Engineer - Scaling start-up – NEWCASTLE – up to £55,000I am currently working with a Scaling start-up client who are looking for a Mid-level Android Engineer to join their existing team!You will be reporting to either a Software Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering and the role will be a major contribution and influence on the Engineering team delivering award winning apps and services.You will be striving to create solutions that satisfy the trade-offs between technical, analytical and product goals.This role is to ensure the company is providing outstanding products to their thousands of customers who use their applications!Key Skills:Mid-senior understanding of Android Development.Experience working with RESTful APIsExperience with multi-threaded programming.Experience building adaptive UIs for mobile devices.Some of your Main Responsibilities:Creating and maintain Android Apps using Kotlin.Building android apps using Jetpack Compose, Clean Architecture, Widgets, Kotlin Multiplatform and Android Architecture Components.Contributes to the wider team via Code reviews and Pair Programming.An understanding of the architecture and area of work.Benefits:Quarterly team events.Life insurance and income protection.Generous holiday allowance.Relevant training and training budget.Bonus and profit shares.
