About the Role



Are you a friendly and responsible individual who enjoys working with children? Do you want to play a key role in ensuring students have a safe, enjoyable, and well-supervised lunchtime experience?



We are seeking a Midday Meals Supervisor to join an amazing SEN primary school team. In this role, you will oversee students during their lunch break, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment both in the dining hall and on the playground.



Key Responsibilities




  • Supervise students during their lunch break, both in the dining hall and outdoor play areas.

  • Support students in developing good table manners and positive social interactions.

  • Ensure a safe and orderly environment, addressing any incidents of behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Assist with setting up and clearing away tables and chairs in the dining area.

  • Promote inclusive play and encourage student participation in activities during the lunch break.

  • Respond to minor first-aid incidents and report any concerns to senior staff as appropriate.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:




  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.

  • A calm and approachable demeanour, with the ability to handle situations with patience and fairness.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.



Desirable Skills:




  • First-aid training or willingness to undertake training.

  • Experience in promoting inclusive play and organizing activities.

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar environment.
