Job Description: MIG Structural Steel Welder

We are seeking a skilled MIG Structural Steel Welder to join our client's team, contributing to the fabrication and assembly of steel structures essential for various construction projects. As a key member of the welding team, you will ensure the integrity and quality of welds, adhering to project specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will be crucial in meeting production schedules while maintaining a high level of safety and precision.

£13 ph with plenty of overtime available

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components such as beams and columns of up to 15m in length and 3/4t in weight
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a MIG welder in structural steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Certification in welding or relevant training preferred.
• Physical stamina and agility to work in various positions and environments.
