Exciting Opportunity: Administrator at the Ministry of Defence
Are you ready to join a dynamic and fast-paced team? We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Administrator to support various administrative tasks at Trenchard Lines, Upavon.
Position Details:
Role: Administrative Officer (Contract: 3 months)
Department: Defence Children Services
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Hourly rate: £12.99 p/h
Location: Trenchard Lines, Upavon, Pewsey, Wiltshire, SN9 6BE
Start Date: As soon as possible, pending vetting
End date: 05/02/25, extension possibility based on client budget
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site during training, then 60% on-site and 40% from home; office days on Tuesday, Thursday, and a third day)

Key Responsibilities:
Mailbox Management: Triage 2 to 3 mailboxes, ensuring timely and efficient handling of correspondence.
Data Entry: Accurately input data into databases and IT systems.
First Point of Contact: Serve as the initial contact for inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
Document Management: Update documents as needed, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Multitasking: This is a very fast-paced role. Will need to be able to efficiently switch between tasks and manage multiple priorities.
IT Competence: Utilise Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) proficiently.
Minute Taking: Ability to take minutes is advantageous but not essential.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
IT Proficiency: Good understanding of IT, especially Microsoft Office packages.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Initiative: Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks.
Multitasking: Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience of working within HR/Recruitment would be an advantage
Driving: Due to location, having access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is required.
The position is subject to a basic DBS check and 3 year's referencing.
