Position: Clerical/Admin Officer
Location: Army Barracks Kinloss, Forres - Medical Centre

About the Role:
The Ministry of Defence is seeking a dedicated Temporary Clerical/Admin Officer to join the team on-site at the Medical Centre in Kinloss Barracks. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to vital administrative functions within the armed forces community.

  • \nPay Rate: £14.19 per hour

  • Schedule:
  • \n
      \n
    • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 AM - 4:30 PM
    • \n
    • Friday: 08:30 AM - 4:00 PM
    • \n
    • 1-hour lunch break
    • \n
    • Flexible part-time hours considered
    • \n
    \n
  • \nAssignment Length: May 2025 however currently open-ended, with the possibility of extension
  • \n
  • \nTransport: Own transport required (no bus service, 4 miles from the nearest town)
  • \n

What You'll Do:
As a Clerical/Admin Officer, you'll:

    \n
  • Provide administrative support in the Medical Centre
  • \n
  • Manage reception duties, including face-to-face interactions and phone queries
  • \n
  • Handle subject access requests and medical record preparation for doctors
  • \n
  • Use government tech services for routine checks
  • \n
  • Oversee and refine administrative procedures and processes
  • \n
  • Collate and analyse data, presenting results in written reports
  • \n
  • Assist with budget preparation and control as needed
  • \n

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications:
  • \n
      \n
    • Five GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English) or equivalent
    • \n
    • NVQ Business Administration Level 2 or comparable clerical experience
    • \n
    \n
  • Skills and Experience:
  • \n
      \n
    • Proven administrative experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • \n
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • \n
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • \n
    \n
  • \nDesirable Experience: Reception or admin background
  • \n
