Are you fluent in one or more languages (French, Spanish, and potentially others) with the ability to teach effectively?

Can you support students in building their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills?

Can you create dynamic and interactive lesson plans that encourage student engagement and learning?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join our team in Blackburn! In this role, you will support KS3 and KS4 students in enhancing their language skills. A competitive daily pay rate is offered, commensurate with your qualifications and experience.

In this role, you will be planning and delivering engaging lessons that help students develop their linguistic abilities and cultural understanding. You will also assess student progress regularly, provide feedback, and tailor your approach to meet individual learning needs.

Responsibilities:


  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management

Personal Attributes:


  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
