We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join our Insurance Department on a permanent basis. Defendant experience is ideal however, not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of fee earners who investigate, pursue and defend RTA claims on behalf of our clients.
The team portfolio consists of both pre and post litigation matters (small claims, fast-track and multi-track).
As part of your day to day role you will have access to a case management system alongside some of the latest technology to help you with your day to day management activities.
You will be supported by a collaborative team, other Team Managers and your direct Senior Manager to ensure you have all the tools to succeed in your role.
*What will you be doing?*
* Overseeing and assisting where necessary all cases managed by the team and ensure consistent strategy across claims/tactics and provide technical input where required
* Develop an understanding of all workstreams: RTA (defendant) and ULR (Claimant) across jurisdictions
* Understanding and controlling the workflow for the team and manage resource
* Analyse and report on the team performance
* Continue to manage KPI and MI across the work streams and ensure that effective KPI/MI is in place for your teams.
* Strong litigation skills with an eye for detail
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts ​
*We tend to look for people with the following skills and experiences: *
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor or Cilex status with proven experience in litigation and RTA claims is essential
* Experience of dealing with stakeholders across all levels
* Experience of managing a team
Desirable:
* Experience of Defendant claims handling experience
