Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in driving/logistics to join our fast-growing passive fire protection company. This full-time role operates from our office and warehouse facility in Brentwood, with deliveries to construction sites in Greater London and the Southeast of England.

Role Details:

Position: Driver
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), 6 am - 3 pm, Monday - Friday

Salary: �26,000
Vehicle: LWB van (no truck/HGV driving)
Reports to: Warehouse/Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently drive company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
  • Load vehicles with equipment and materials based on delivery notes; collect excess materials, equipment, and waste for returning to the warehouse.
  • Deliver and unload at sites.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery/collection notes.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery logistics.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist the Warehouse/Logistics Manager in maintaining the warehouse in a clean and safe manner.
  • Receive goods into the warehouse and check the condition of goods and equipment.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is adequately maintained and inspections are completed.
  • Interact with client site management, supplier logistics staff, and internal team members.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a delivery or van driver role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus.
  • Experience with logistics and deliveries is advantageous, but full training and support will be provided.
  • Valid driver's license is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and loading/unloading of cargo.
  • Familiarity with the Greater London road network is beneficial.
