Position: Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder
Location: Southampton
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (APPROX)
Salary: up to �30,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder to join a well-established team in Southampton. Our client specialises in International Freight Management, including air, sea and road movements and providing bonded warehousing solutions. This role would suit a candidate passionate about logistics and who enjoys working in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Multi-Modal Freight Forwarding operations, with experience dealing with sea freight imports, import regulations and customs clearance procedures.

Your key responsibilities as a Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder:

• Complete start-to-finish consignments by air, sea and road
• Create bookings from the origin
• Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
• Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, merchant haulage and various carriers
• Track and update delivery statutes in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
• Completion of customs procedures
• Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade compliance laws
• Gaining a full understanding of our Bonded warehouse operation and inbound logistics
