Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – FMCG Manufacturing
Gillingham, Kent | £50,000 - £52,000 per annum
Monday-Friday 08:30am-17:30pm 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly successful FMCG manufacturer in Gillingham, Kent. This role is perfect for an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with a background in manufacturing maintenance, looking to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance
•    Diagnose and resolve faults on packaging machinery, PLC-controlled systems, and sealing equipment
•    Utilise CMMS and handheld technology to log maintenance activities and track asset performance
•    Work alongside the maintenance planning team to ensure servicing schedules are completed on time
•    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards across all maintenance activities
•    Provide insights and feedback to enhance maintenance processes and asset management strategies
•    Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and improvement projects
•    Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment upgrades

What We’re Looking For:
•    Proven experience as an Engineer in an FMCG environment
•    Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications
•    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting
•    Experience working with automated production equipment
•    Familiarity with CMMS systems
