Multi-Skilled Engineer Derbyshire 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights About the Role My client is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to provide a safe and efficient engineering service to support production demands. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving equipment performance, ensuring the factory operates at optimal efficiency by carrying out both proactive and reactive maintenance. You will also be responsible for using the PPM system (SAP) to log engineering tasks and manage spare parts efficiently, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and site performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reactive and planned maintenance support to the production team
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime
• Improve equipment availability to meet OEE targets
• Use SAP PM system for labour tracking and parts management
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations
• Identify and implement engineering improvements to enhance site performance

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering
• Recognised UK engineering qualifications
• Time-served apprenticeship in Engineering
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fluctuating workloads
• Health & Safety knowledge and compliance experience
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Skill 1 Engineer post-apprenticeship

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment
• PLC fault-finding and programming experience
• Welding skills
• Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, SAP PM)
• 17th/18th Edition Electrical Certification
• COSHH & Food Safety Level 2 certification
