We are seeking a dedicated Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing Department in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, located in the Blackburn area.

Description

• Conducting routine maintenance and testing on commercial and industrial production equipment.
• Ensuring that machinery is in safe working order.
• Reading and understanding complex electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Maintaining spare parts inventories.
• Assisting with the installation of new equipment.
• Responding to requests for emergency repairs.
• Collaborating with other engineers and workers to fix faults.
• Implementing preventative maintenance measures.

Profile

A successful Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer should have:

• A solid educational background in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• A time served apprenticeship
• Ideally food manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in reading and understanding complex electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• A dedication to maintaining safe working conditions and practices.
