Salary: Competitive

Location: Buckingham

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:45am - 3:00pm

Contract Type: Fulltime, Permanent

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Buckingham. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of our manufacturing plant and equipment. This hands-on position requires expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, and you'll play a vital role in optimising production efficiency while minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:


  • Rapid fault-finding, repairs, and refurbishments of plant equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Develop and refine operating procedures to improve plant efficiency and reduce waste (scrap, rework).
  • Train machine operators on the safe and efficient operation of production equipment.
  • Maintain and monitor plant efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and manage planned maintenance schedules for plant machinery, jigs, fixtures, and other equipment.
  • Support the installation and integration of new plant equipment into the production process.
  • Ensure compliance with 5S methodology for housekeeping and operational standards.
  • Actively participate in initiatives to reduce costs and increase plant availability.

Skills and Experience of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:


  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications and 18th Edition certification.
  • Relevant Engineering Degree, HNC, or HND is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, particularly in injection moulding or robotic programming.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and fault-finding.
  • Proven track record in project management within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
