Music teacher - Blackburn

We're searching for a dynamic and passionate Music Teacher to join our team in Blackburn! You'll inspire and support KS3 and KS4 students as they develop their talents. The pay rate is based on your experience and qualifications.

In this role, you will inspire the students to develop their musical skills and knowledge across various genres and instruments. Your lessons will encourage creativity, foster a love of music, and help students to build confidence in both individual and group performances.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Punctual and reliable
• Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
• Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Set homework and mark promptly
• Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
• Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
• Respond to questioning

• Strong classroom management

Personal attributes:

• You will have a genuine passion for teaching
• Experience up to key stage 3/4
• QTS/PGCE equivalent
• Be flexible and committed
