Music Teacher Sought for Esteemed Secondary School in Waltham Forest



Position Overview:



On behalf of our esteemed client, a high-performing secondary school located in Waltham Forest, we are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Music Teacher to join their dedicated faculty. This full-time, permanent position commences in September and presents an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and nurture a love of music in secondary school students.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Design and deliver engaging and innovative music lessons for students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum for Music.

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and musical expression.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and extracurricular offerings.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current pedagogical approaches and developments in music education.



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.

  • Demonstrated experience teaching music at the secondary school level.

  • Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and genres.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
