Job Description:
At Tradewind we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Music Teacher to join one of our schools in September 2024. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and teaching, and the ability to inspire young students through engaging and dynamic music lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality music lessons to primary students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Develop and implement a diverse music curriculum that includes singing, instrument playing, music theory, and appreciation.
- Organise and lead school musical events, concerts, and performances.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help each child achieve their musical potential.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music education across the curriculum.
- Stay current with educational best practices and music education trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching music to primary-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of music theory, various musical instruments, and vocal techniques.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Additional certifications in music or education.
- Experience with school musical productions and performances.
