CER is looking for a talented Music Teacher to join a promising secondary school in Rotherham.

Pay rates: £162.31 - £223.62 per day

\n

About our client school: A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. With a strong commitment to providing high-quality education, they are a fast-improving school. Our client school are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join their team for 3 days a week on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year.

Position Overview: As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in musical performance, creation and theory. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on promoting enthusiasm for the subject and fostering a love of learning. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Music Teacher to contribute to our supportive and inclusive school community and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Our client school are also keen to hear from Early Career Teachers who are seeking to forge their career within Secondary Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive music lessons that are in line with the national curriculum and cater to the needs of all students.
  • \n
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote student engagement, such as practical demonstrations and workshops.
  • \n
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic development.
  • \n
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the creative curriculum.
  • \n
  • Participate in school events, parents' evenings, and extracurricular activities as required.
  • \n

Qualifications and Experience:

    \n
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification/experience is desirable but not essential.
  • \n
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
  • \n
  • Previous experience teaching music at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • \n
