We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Harrogate. This full-time role begins in January 2025 until July 2025 and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on student's musical journeys.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Music or a closely related subject.
• Proven experience teaching Music in a secondary setting.
• A passion for education and an ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, inspiring a love for music among students aged 11-16.
• Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to contribute to KS5.
• Foster creativity through practical and theoretical elements of music education, including performance, composition, and music appreciation.
• Organise and support extracurricular activities, such as choir, band, or school productions.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's music program and contribute to wider school events.
