I am seeking an experienced and dedicated Interim Named Lead for Safeguarding Children. This crucial role demands a highly skilled professional with extensive knowledge in child protection and safeguarding. As the Interim Named Lead, you will be responsible for providing safeguarding leadership, management, and expertise to our staff.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Expertise: Provide safeguarding leadership, management, and expertise to staff within Buckinghamshire Health Care Trust, ensuring robust safeguarding practices.
Statutory Duties: Assess the Trust's statutory duties and responsibilities around safeguarding as outlined in the "Safeguarding Children, Young People and Adults at Risk in the NHS Safeguarding Accountability and Assurance Framework" (Version 3, 21 July 2022), and plan to meet these needs accordingly.
Training and Development: Assess the training and development needs relating to safeguarding across the organization. Collaborate with the education team and local authority colleagues to deliver the required training. Ensure compliance with statutory training requirements, adapting to legal changes as necessary.
Financial Planning: Evaluate the financial liability for the Trust in not fulfilling safeguarding roles and responsibilities. Collaborate with senior colleagues to provide assurance, lead on business case development, and financial planning related to safeguarding.
Executive Briefing: Brief the executive team on organizational responsibilities in safeguarding. Write quarterly and annual board reports to provide assurance.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on safeguarding performance indicators. Prepare reports for the safeguarding committee and Quality committee.
Regulatory Compliance: Oversee corporate and service compliance with CQC and Ofsted standards relating to safeguarding.
