National Account Manager We are hiring for our client, a leading player in the FMCG industry, who is seeking a dynamic National Account Manager to oversee and manage their key accounts across the Retail channel. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable and profitable sales in alignment with the Group strategy. Top 3 Things to Know About this Job: Key Responsibilities - Manage key retail accounts, drive retail strategy, and ensure optimal SKU availability. Essential Requirements - Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG account management, strong negotiation and financial analysis skills. The Role: Account Management: Full responsibility for nominated accounts across the Retail channel to achieve budgeted net margin, volume, and turnover across chilled categories. Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts to drive retail strategy and category plans. Distribution Strategy: Implement robust distribution strategies to maximize SKU availability across the Retail sector. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure optimal service levels to customers. Production Forecasting: Provide accurate weekly production forecasts by customer/SKU to manage stock availability. Budget Management: Set annual budgets by volume and price across all customers at SKU level and conduct regular reviews. SKU Optimization: Conduct regular SKU optimization reviews to maximize site capacity within the retail range. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the Channel Manager within the scope of the Commercial function. The Person: Education: Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Experience: Minimum 5 years in FMCG account management with proven success in managing key customers. Skills: Strong negotiation skills, financial data analysis, commercial acumen, and knowledge of the Irish retail sector. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues. Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to challenges. IT Competency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
