Your new companyA large distribution business is seeking a National Contractor Manager with very strong compliance experience for this diverse role, which involves regular UK travel.Your new roleThis role involves a 50/50 split of Operational Management and Compliance Management.Operational Management - looking at potential future models of delivery in the self-employed driver market, how to align and best deliver service as the company grows and changes.Compliance Management -managing the compliance/assurance of the self-employed drivers, overseeing the engagement and strategies in hard-to-engage routes/locations, (You would be the business expert in this space but have external legal support for any contractual changes.)This role involves travel to locations in the UK on a regular basis to meet with suppliers and site visits as it will be essential to meet with depot/regional management teams as required. * Develop and implement cutting-edge strategies and procedures to optimise our contractor management processes. * Advise and direct or operations teams managing a network of self-employed delivery contractors and delivery rounds across multiple locations. * Forge strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and third-party entities. * Provide expert guidance on legislative compliance and contract development. * Proactively address risks and issues to maintain operational momentum. * Present compelling insights and proposals to senior management, shaping the future of our contractor model. * Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within our contractor management teamWhat you'll need to succeedYou will ideally have a mixture of experience across Operational Management in contractor management, and a track record of success in recruitment and compliance.* A strategic thinker with exceptional communication and presentation skills. * Willing to travel nationwide and adapt to the dynamic nature of our industry. * Passionate about driving positive change and exceeding expectations. * Eager to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to growth and innovation.What you'll get in returnSalary £60-70k according to experience.Car allowanceCompany bonus25 days holiday plus holiday buy schemeAnd a range of big company benefitsWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
