National Sales Manager - Oil-Free Air



We're seeking for a National Sales Manager to join our Oil-Free Air Division! You will manage a creative and successful field sales team in England and Wales.



Atlas Copco Group is a market-leading producer of sustainable productivity solutions (including compressors, vacuums, construction and mining equipment, power tools, and assembly systems). The ideal applicant will be adaptive, eager, hardworking, and passionate about their job.



The role:




  • Focusing on market presence, competence development and lead generation to create sustainable sales growth promoting our Oil-Free Air product portfolio.

  • Developing and successfully implementing a strategy to achieve growth. Adapting and improving that strategy continuously.

  • Taking overall responsibility for Oil-Free Air sales, being responsible for the implementation of the optimal marketing mix of product/price/promotion/place/people.

  • People – Be a coach and motivator for the Oil-Free Air sales team.

  • Product - Continuously evaluate the mix of products best suited for the market.

  • Price - Be continuously updated on market price levels and price every product in line with your strategy.

  • Promotion - Launch campaigns and promotions to ensure the right solutions are offered and highlighted to the market.

  • Place – Define and optimize the different sales channels (direct, indirect and OEM).

  • Developing and maintaining a good relationship with the product companies, ensuring you are up to date with the latest product developments. Providing useful feedback to improve the products.

  • Traveling extensively (>80%) throughout the country and occasionally outside the UK, to support the sales team and meet customer needs.



To succeed, you will need:




  • An experienced sales professional. Specific compressed air experience is advantageous.  

  • Knowledgeable in the UK industrial market. 

  • Experienced working in a sales organisation that had multiple sales channels, although this is not essential. 

  • Confident to lead by example, and a strong motivator within and outside of their team. 

  • Interpersonal, a real people person who likes to face and talk to customers and distributors.  

  • Able to organise their work very independent and be result driven with a can-do attitude.  

  • Ready to live by the Atlas Copco core values: Interaction, Innovation and Commitment.
