National Shipping Operations Manager

Location: Southampton

Salary: Up to �53,000pa (DOE)

Are you a highly experienced Operations Manager with a background in Import Container Operations for a UK based Shipping Line? Are you looking to advance your career for an established and highly regarded Global Logistics Company? This role could be excellent for you!

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 17:30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of Import Operations Staff across multiple sites.
• Maximize carrier haulage utilization and profitability.
• Ensure full utilization of GB carrier haulage capacity.
• Assist with Account Management and provide excellent Customer Service.
• Oversee Import CSR Delivery and Release.
• Ensure all KPI's are met and exceeded across managed Teams.
• Handle all customer rate requests and inquiries promptly and professionally
• Recommend and advise on solutions for any issues that arise.
• Implement and enforce company policies for Import deep-sea and other container trades related to UK imports.

Requirements:

• Previous Experience working for a UK based Shipping Line is essential.
• Previous experience working in Container Operations.
• Previous Import Operation experience.
• Extensive Leadership Experience within the Shipping and Logistics Industry.
• Ability to thrive in a busy work environment.
