.NET Developer – Backend .NET

Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid) | Salary: Up to £60,000

Xpertise are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join a well-established financial services company. This role is backend-focused and centres on Business as Usual (BAU) development, maintaining and improving existing systems to ensure stability, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and support existing backend applications built with the .NET Framework
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise system downtime
• Optimise database performance and ensure data integrity in SQL Server
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand system requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through best engineering practices
• Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience with .NET Framework
• Solid understanding of API development, background services, and batch processing
• Experience working in a BAU environment, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex legacy systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
