The Network Architect will play a critical role in designing and implementing the new network infrastructure, working closely with senior IT leadership, architects, network engineers, and external vendors.
The role requires a skilled professional capable of managing complex network systems and security challenges while balancing business priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Architecture Planning: Develop and own the network architecture plans.Enterprise Architecture Contribution: Support the development of the enterprise architecture strategy.Security Architecture Contribution: Aid in shaping the forward-looking security architecture.Platform/Product Ownership: Oversee strategy for various network services and tools.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and guide engineering teams to enhance security operations, IT development, and information security.Architectural Leadership: Lead medium to large-scale initiatives.Process Advocacy: Promote effective processes and policies within IT teams.Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to network engineers.CompetenciesLeadership: Decisive, able to initiate action and provide clear direction.Collaboration: Respectful, empathetic, and supportive team player.Ethics and Integrity: Uphold company values and promote equal opportunities.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly.Technical Expertise: Proficient in specialized technical areas, applying expertise to achieve objectives.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze information and make rational judgments.Innovation: Creative problem-solver with strategic thinking skills.Organizational Skills: Effective planner, capable of managing time and resources efficiently.Adaptability: Flexible and resilient, able to cope with pressure and change.Commercial Awareness: Understands market trends, business opportunities, and financial management.Required QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 5 years in complex IT environments and project structures, with demonstrable network architecture experience.Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Azure, Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, CloudFlare, and F5 or similar technologies.Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional, Check Point Certified Security Administrator, AZ-700) preferred.Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
