Network Architect - Newcastle, Hybrid workingWe are seeking a talented Network Architect to join our dynamic professional services division. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive high- and low-level network designs, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices, and guiding networking consultants and implementation engineers throughout project lifecycles.This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a background as a Solution Architect, Networking Consultant, or Technical Authority on significant Network Transformation programs, with experience working closely with sales and pre-sale teams.Key Responsibilities:Architectural Design: Develop comprehensive high and low-level network designs that meet customer requirements and industry best practices.Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to consultants and engineers throughout project implementations.Project Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including Project Managers and Service Engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.Stakeholder Engagement: Lead technical discussions with clients, present designs and plans, and secure stakeholder buy-in.Pre-Sales Support: Assist the pre-sales team with technical input and support the development of proposals and tender responses.Knowledge Sharing: Stay current with industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance Roc’s networking capabilities.Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact project outcomes.Skills & Experience:Experience: 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing networking solutions, particularly in wireless and LAN technologies.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Juniper solutions, including current certifications in Juniper switching and MIST-AI. Knowledge of NAC platforms and DDI solutions is highly desirable.Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Leadership: Proven track record of leading technical teams and projects, with the ability to mentor and support junior engineers.Flexibility: Willingness to travel and engage with clients across various sectors, with an initial focus on a Higher Education Network Transformation project in the Northeast of England.Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as JNCIS-MistAI, and experience with multi-vendor solutions.
