We are working with a London-based technology consultancy specialising in the Public Sector, Law Enforcement, and Healthcare. You will have the opportunity to get involved in areas of the business that catch your interest, outside your usual job description, or build out a specialization within the business. They are in need of an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join at the Manager level. Prior management experience is not necessary, as you will be given the support needed to successfully lead projects and build out a team. However, strong technical capability and the ability to work confidently with clients are a must. You will initially join one of their most interesting projects, with a client focused on using cutting-edge technology to implement services with a direct real-world positive impact. The role requires the following key skills and knowledge, non-exhaustively: Required: 5 years of experience with IT and network infrastructure (servers, switches, firewalls, WAN, LAN, routers, proxy servers), their management software, IT and security tooling setup, and applying policy-based processes Experience in designing and commissioning systems aligned with recognised standards and certifications, particularly around network security Experience in virtualisation, containerization, and database technologies installation and management Experience working across both Windows and Linux OS Desirable: Experience in cyber security hygiene practices and cyber security technologies Experience in satellite communication and optical fibre systems Experience with the OSI or TCP/IP model Experience configuring Syslog This role will require the ability to be on-site in London 5 days a week if needed. When possible, you will be given the flexibility to work from home, but there are occasions where this will not be feasible. This role will also require you to hold or undergo SC clearance.
