Network Engineer – £400 per day via Umbrella – 3 months – Dumfries and Galloway (onsite) – SCC Flex Contract We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong Cisco expertise to join our team on a contract basis, providing onsite BAU support. Your responsibilities as Network Engineer : Provide BAU (Business as Usual) support for network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime. Work onsite to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Support and optimize LAN, WAN, VLAN, and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF). Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS. Monitor network performance using advanced tools and respond promptly to issues, ensuring efficient and reliable network operations. Support Cisco VoIP technologies including CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager). As a successful Network Engineer , you will have: Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies, specifically routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless. Strong knowledge of LANs, WANs, VLANs, and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF). Familiarity with network security principles and experience managing firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems. Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting complex network issues. Experience with Cisco VoIP technologies, particularly CUCM.
