Your New Role
As a New Product Development Engineer (NPD), you will play a key role in designing and developing products that meet evolving customer needs. Reporting to the Lead NPD Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products and modifications to existing products, creating detailed models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software, conducting feasibility studies, simulations, and testing, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, troubleshooting design challenges, researching new materials and technologies, supporting the delivery of NPD projects within set timelines and budgets, managing design revisions, assisting in prototype development and testing, ensuring all designs meet industry regulations and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you need proficiency in 3D modelling and CAD, experience taking products from concept to final design, and knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Essential skills include teamwork, problem-solving, project management, and the ability to meet deadlines. Experience in Recycling or Heavy Plant Industry systems is desirable.
