Warehouse Team Leader - Nights
Location: Leeds, City Centre
Working Hours: 5 days out of 7, from 21:30 to 06:00
Pay Rate - £14.60 ph
Contract - Tempo to Perm after 12 weeks

Job Summary:
As the Warehouse Team Leader for the LNER contract, you will be supporting the Service Centre Manager in managing and delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective services encompassing all areas of the operation. Consistently providing first-class service to the customer's requirements according to the contract within the areas of responsibility and function listed below
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring working practices comply with Food Safety principles.
Adopting safe working practices in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines and company policies and procedures in all areas.
Guardian of product quality through storage and condition management.
Responsible for conducting site H&S checks, Risk & COSHH assessments, and fire marshal duties.
Providing leadership to the team, acting as a positive role model at all times.
Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently to meet production goals.
Conducting daily team briefings and meetings with staff, covering working practice's and reviews.
Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to the Service Centre Manager or their Deputy.
Maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy concerning stocking and de-stocking of trains, ensuring that quality targets are achieved.
Responsible for ensuring that stock control processes are effectively managed and followed.
Responsible for ensuring that the work area is kept clean and well-organised.
Responding quickly and practically to emergencies, crises, or unexpected problems during the shift.
Ensuring that working processes are followed in line with the contract specification and requirements.
Assuming shift responsibility for disciplinary investigations and absence monitoring.
Coaching team members and training new staff.
Looking after colleague welfare and improving attendance standards.
Ensuring that own and employee's behaviour and conduct meet the requirements of the business.
Education:
Three passes at GCSE O Level (grade C or above)
Work Experience:
Industry experience preferred but not essential (warehouse pick and pack, catering and logistics)
Demonstrable relevant experience in data analytics and business management reporting
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
MS Office
Language / Communication Skills:
Excellent English and numeracy skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
