About Us:

We are dedicated to supporting young people aged 16 to 25 with additional social, emotional, autism, and mental health needs.

We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Night Support Workers to join our team and provide assistance to our students in their on-site homes. This role does not include personal care responsibilities. Join us and make a meaningful difference!

The Role:

As a Night Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in the lives of our young people, helping them prepare for adulthood and facilitating their transition to further education, training, or employment.

Following a handover from the day team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with their evening routines and activities, both on and off-site.
  • Providing verbal and visual prompting tailored to each young person's needs.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for parents and carers.
  • Ensuring the health and medical needs of the young people are attended to during the night.
  • Offering emotional support and a listening ear for students after a busy day.

Your focus will be on encouraging independence and motivating young people to develop their skills for adult life.

Skills and Qualifications:

No prior experience is needed as full training will be provided. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • A positive, creative, and proactive approach to supporting young people.
  • A commitment to fostering independence in skills such as budgeting, cooking, and accessing the community.
  • The ability to offer social, emotional, and behavioural support in a positive and encouraging manner.
  • A strong understanding of what "good care" entails, putting the young person's needs first.
  • A driving licence and access to transport (due to our rural location).

Please note: Applicants must be aged 21 or over due to the age of our students.

Benefits and Additional Information:

We value and support our staff with a range of benefits, including:

  • Fully funded Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and other CPD opportunities.
  • Small perks of appreciation, such as chocolates, food, and Christmas hampers.
  • Regular well-being checks with Mental Health First Aiders and Well-being Champions.
  • Comprehensive management support.
  • Life assurance.
  • Enhanced pension scheme (effective October).
  • Access to Perkbox for high street discounts.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Car lease scheme.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Free membership to a health cashback plan, covering dental, optical, physio, and more.
