Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Rate: £40 - £45 per hour (umbrella, dependent on experience)
Contract: Locum

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 7 Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a dedicated drug and alcohol service in the Buckinghamshire area. This is a fantastic locum opportunity for someone passionate about helping individuals manage and recover from substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of service users with drug and alcohol dependencies.
  • Prescribing appropriate medications in line with evidence-based guidelines and local protocols.
  • Delivering pharmacological and psychosocial interventions as part of holistic care plans.
  • Monitoring and reviewing treatment plans, ensuring they meet the needs of the individual.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualification: Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, or other relevant healthcare professional with a qualification as a Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in substance misuse services, including prescribing for drug and alcohol dependencies.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment, prescribing, and care planning skills.
  • Availability: Ability to start promptly and commit to full-time hours.
