Team Manager - Children in Care (CIC)

Location: West (Hybrid working model)
Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary

Are you an experienced Team Manager with a proven track record in Children in Care (CIC) services? We are looking for a skilled and dedicated professional to join our CIC team in the West.

About the Role

As a Team Manager in our Children in Care service, you will provide strategic oversight for all children under our care. This includes:

  • Children undergoing legal proceedings to determine their permanency plans.
  • Children with long-term plans to remain in care.

You will lead a team focused on building meaningful relationships with young people, their families, and carers to ensure effective future planning for every child. This role also involves delivering court services from interim care orders to final orders, so familiarity with legal processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a CIC team, ensuring best practices in care planning and relationship-building.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to team members, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to deliver high-quality court services.
  • Ensure children's voices are heard, and their needs are central to all planning and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Essential: Previous experience at Team Manager level within a Children in Care (CIC) service.
  • Strong understanding of the legal framework surrounding children in care, including court processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment, with occasional commuting required.
