Are you an experience NPD Project Manager looking to develop your career in a major paper product manufacturer based at our site in Grantham? You will play a vital role in the end to end NPD process including research, innovation, production trials and continuous development.
You will be working Monday to Friday 08:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. at our Grantham office, with a requirement to travel to the Ellesmere site.

About the Role

As the NPD Project Manager you will solely lead the new product development projects and own the end-to-end new product development process from concept through to launch. Responsibilities include:
Be the site paper, packaging and materials expert.
Regularly review packaging materials, products, and processes to drive innovation, help with efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Responsibility for generating new packaging ideas. Working closely with suppliers, customers and site design team to create innovative and exciting product proposals, from conception to 3D modelling.
Support and drive concept development and EPD.
Constant review of the environmental impact and sustainability.
Chair NPD meetings.
Creation and implementation of project plans with clearly identified critical paths, check points and sign-offs.
Maintaining effective NPD communication across the business and to all departments.
Management of NPD budget.

Essential Skills

Comfortable and experienced in a manufacturing and technical environment
Flexible & willing to travel - this is a dual-site role: Ellesmere Port (Cheshire) & Grantham (Lincolnshire)
Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times
Proficiency at Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel is essential
Understanding of BRC and other customer COPS's

Desirable Skills

Line management experience
Preferable - 2-years manufacturing experience within a technical/NPD area
Knowledge of specifications and customer portals is preferred but not essential, as training will be given
