Job Title: NPI Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Wednesbury

Salary: up to £40,000 dependent on experience

Shift Patterns: Monday to Thursday 06:00-16:30

Are you an experienced NPI Manufacturing engineer who enjoys a challenge? We have a perfect opportunity to join a thriving manufacturer in the heart of Wednesbury! This position is full-time permanent role working only 4 days per week!

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with R&D New Products Developments groups to develop strategies for new products.
• Provide engineering support for all activities in product development process.
• Prepare project timelines and identify all resources requirement and evaluate financials for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor status of all new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required policies, procedures and government regulations.
• Prepare plans for all NPI projects and coordinate with all stakeholders and ensure good quality product.
• Coordinate with engineering and product management departments and develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products.
• Develop product test plans and perform production test according manufacturing process instructions.
• Assist the Technical & design director and manage integration of all products according to product lifecycle.
• Monitor operations of product and evaluate designs and ensure adherence to all design and manufacture principles.
• Ensure compliance to all ECO procedures and work instructions.
• Provide technical support to Materials Management team for all RFP initiatives and administer effective use of outsource products.
• Develop prototype design according to required techniques and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain an inventory and ensure availability of required equipment, tools, test equipment and prototype parts.
• Analyse and recommend improvements to all production process and methods to facilitate cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Design new manufacturing process requirements and associate guidelines.
• Develop and implement efficient material handling, flow strategies and always maintain safe and manufacturing processes.
• Analyse and recommend corrective action in case of any design failure.
• Coordinate with senior management and maintain knowledge on product status and prepare appropriate reports.

Requirements:

• Must have a full UK Driving licence.
• 5 years experience within engineering.
