Nursery Assistant
**Location:** S26 area, Sheffield
**Working Hours:** Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8:45am - 12:15pm
**Duration:** Start Tuesday, 4th June until Tuesday, 23rd July
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Assistant to join our team at a friendly pre-school in the S26 area of Sheffield. This temporary position requires someone who is passionate about early childhood education and capable of supporting our young learners during their critical developmental stage.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the day-to-day activities and routines of the nursery.
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging and educational activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Help with snack time, including preparation and clean-up.
- Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among children.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating environment.
**Skills and Qualifications Required:**
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of child development and early years' education principles.
- Reliable and punctual.
