About the Role:
Randstad Education is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join our partner nurseries and schools in Crawley. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting young children's early development, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating setting where they can flourish. This role offers a temp-to-perm contract, providing flexibility and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily activities of the nursery, including play, learning, and meal times.
  • Help plan and implement activities that support children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
  • Maintain the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care.
  • Build positive relationships with children to boost their confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with nursery staff and teachers to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Help prepare and tidy nursery or classroom spaces to ensure a clean, organized environment.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, contributing to reports as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, offering updates on their child's development and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children in nursery or early years settings is highly desirable.
  • Caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting child development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is advantageous.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (such as NVQ Level 2 or 3) are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
