Job Title: Deputy manager/forest school lead
Salary: from £26,000.00 - 28,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experiance
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (40 hrs)
Location: Brookside, South Gorley, Fordingbridge, SP6 2PP
The Coach House Day Nursery are seeking a skilled Nursery Deputy Manager / Forest School Lead to join their team. Within this role you will need to develop high quality practice and promote outdoor learning. An enjoyment of being outside is essential for this role due to our inspiring environment and you must be able to drive to reach our wonderful setting.
About us:
Our purpose built garden is situated in the beautiful, tranquil and educationally rich setting of the new forest.We have direct acess to the national park we have a local stream and stunning meadows and wooded locations to be able to explore. We even have visits from the local animals! We are extremely proud of our nursery which is unique in the fact that it is a truly enchanting nursery set in the new forest national park. We have four beautiful rooms for the children to work their way through whilst growing up along with our own private shaded garden and seprate baby area which the children have acces to all year round. The gardens contain a herb garden, digging area and a large climbing frame. The desired candidate will need to be a driver due to the location of the nursery.however we are able to provide off road parking, Our team is very small meaning with have a family feel to the nursery and if you were to join our team you would become part of the family!

Within this role, you will:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

For this role, you will need:
Forest School Training- Desirable
Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
Leadership experience - Essential
Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.
Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
