This is a great chance to join an amazing nursery setting in the Stockwell area as a Nursery Practitioner. This setting is light and spacious, with separate rooms for different age groups, and a short walk from the tube station and local bus routes.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll be instrumental in building strong foundations for the children in your care. Your days will be filled with purposeful play, educational activities, and a supportive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and exploration. You will support the Room Manager in providing high-quality care and education for the children.

Responsibilities:
  • As Nursery Practitioner, ensure the safety, well-being, and development of the children in your care
  • Keep open and effective communication with parents or guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and daily activities
  • Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote children's cognitive, social, and physical development. This might involve organizing and leading activities, games, and educational experiences
  • Regularly observe and assess each child's development, behaviour, and needs. Keep detailed records and share progress with parents and caregivers during parent-teacher meetings
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:�
  • Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification
  • Previous experience of working in a childcare setting or nursery
  • Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff, as well as the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically
  • Proficiency in nursery administration, including record-keeping, budget management, and policy development
  • The capability to work effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere
