Abingdon's local nursery is seeking a Nursery Teacher to join their team. The Nursery Teacher will should be enthusiastic about teaching children aged 2-4 years in a nurturing daycare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to prepare EYFS children for school KS1.
  • Evaluate individual outcomes and plan targeted activities with support from the SENCO and Vulnerable Children Coordinator.
  • Provide input on improving education and care across the nursery.
  • Be a role model for Level 2/Level 3 Nursery Practitioner staff, demonstrating effective teaching through structured EYFS activities.
  • Observe and assess the Abingdon children's development, sharing insights with key persons.
  • Support school readiness, focusing on independent skills, phonics, reading, and early math.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree in Early Years Teaching or QTS Qualified with experience working in EYFS years.
