About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the nursing home. This includes delivering exceptional standards of care, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, and providing strong, visible leadership to your team.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the nursing home, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for residents.
• Oversee and improve compliance with CQC standards, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement care plans that meet the needs and preferences of residents while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring staff are supported and motivated.
• Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality services.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including commissioners and healthcare professionals.
• Drive the home through a potential turnaround process, addressing challenges, and implementing effective strategies to achieve compliance and improved ratings.
• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure ongoing service improvements.
• Promote a positive, person-centered culture that prioritizes dignity, choice, and independence for residents.
About You
• Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a nursing or residential care home.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and a track record of achieving compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with experience in managing turnaround situations.
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification.
• Clinical background (Registered Nurse qualification) is desirable but not essential.
