Job DescriptionSummary:Recurrent Energy is one of the world’s largest and most geographically diversified utility-scale solar and energy storage project development, ownership, and operations platforms. With an industry-leading team of in-house energy experts, we are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. and function as Canadian Solar’s global development and power services business.The selected candidate will be a member of Recurrent Energy’s Global FP&A team reporting to the Global O&M FP&A Manager and supporting him with the Global Consolidated Report. This role will be responsible for all the FP&A activities in EMEA (UK, Spain, Italy, South Africa etc.) with a specific focus in UK and relationship management, preparing monthly closing reporting and communicating the results to the Management. Responsibilities:Being the Business Partner for the country leaders in the EMEA region to optimize forecasts, manage risks and drive improvements to financial performance;Lead the reporting process for the EMEA region, including preparation of budgets, business plan and financial reports; Develop, consolidate and coordinate budget process, including the elaboration of forecasting models and database files;Assist in the company’s monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing, conducting account reconciliations and analysis as required.Monitoring of the regional cash flow position on weekly basis.Review and approve contracts, purchase orders and payments according to the established delegation of authority procedure.Update cost and expense trend reports, analyzing variations and ensuring alignment with the forecast. Elaborate reports and building up new analysis ad hoc for the Management. Analysis by Project, Portfolio for the UK entity. Liaise with other Regions and with the HDQ in order to provide the information and data required. Coordinate members assigned to the FP&A team in EMEA (currently 1 resource).Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline 5+ years overall experience in Finance Department, preferable 2+ year in Accounting.Minimum of 2 year of relevant work experience along with people management experienceUS GAAP reporting exposure. Good knowledge of UK GAAP + IFRS Demonstrated ability to perform related functions in adherence to regulations, laws, policies, and standardsEffective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organisationAble to deal with people tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesComputer literacy, including effective skills in SAP, MS Office (strong Excel and Power Point knowledge). Nice to have: Tipalti and Xero knowledges.Exceptional organizational skills and time management skillsAttention to detail in all areas of workExperience in service companies or maintenance business is a plus.Work locationBased in EMEA region, available to travel frequently to our main locations (UK, Spain, Italy)We are open to having the successful candidate based in London, Milan and Madrid
