We are looking for creative & forward-thinking Occupational Therapists to join us in the Maximising Independence Service based in the Community Reablement Team, working on a countywide basis, focusing on early resolution, prevention and promoting independence and wellbeing for all people. Its purpose is to help people to maximise their independence as much as possible by providing information, advice and guidance, setting short-term goals and identifying support to achieve those goals.
Our practice is focused on a strengths-based approach & using a conversational style to help people ascertain what a good life looks like to them and provide the help they feel they need in order to reduce ongoing care and support needs. You will work with adults of all ages, across all disabilities. To be successful, your values and creativity will be key. You will work in a multi-skilled and varied workforce in a fast paced, supportive team.
You will receive regular supervision both formally and informally from an Occupational Therapy Senior Practitioner and will be supported to attend training to progress your career and meet the HPC's CPD requirements. There will be opportunities to expand your knowledge and competencies, project work and service exploration, and providing training for the team, based on your strengths and career aspirations. You must be good at motivating others and be able to support others through change.
We would like to hear from you if you are a qualified Occupational Therapist with at least two years' experience. Applicants must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with the HCPC. A full driving licence and access to transport is essential, disabled employees who are unable to drive because of their disability will be able to use taxis to carry out their duties. We have a full time post (37 hours, Mondays to Fridays) and a part time post (18.5 hours, days and times negotiable) available.
