 As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, you'll:

  • Use the MOHO framework to assess abilities and design tailored treatment programmes.
  • \n
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to plan and review treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and individual/group sessions.
  • \n
  • Adapt activities for those with cognitive, language, or social skill difficulties.
  • \n
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure accurate documentation.
  • \n
  • Participate in client-related meetings and deliver practical advice and education.
  • \n
  • Promote Occupational Therapy within the service and support service improvement initiatives.

The ideal Mental Health Occupational Therapist will have:

  • BSc Hons or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC accreditation.

  • Experience in secure and/or acute environments is desirable but not essential.
  • \n
  • A commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
