Claxton are looking to hire an Offshore Operations Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Offshore Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the offshore operations personnel within the site in accordance with Claxton's Offshore Operations Procedure and relevant IMS processes. The role holder will monitor and manage the effective utilisation of offshore resources and will liase with projects and commercial management teams to supply competent offshore personnel when required.


Duties & Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing offshore resource planning for all Claxton Great Yarmouth projects in line with Claxton Project Management procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring offshore resource pool is trained and competent in line with Claxton's training and competency management system.
  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant procedures and protocols are adhered to when working outside of the United Kingdom.
  • Responsible for maintaining a robust resource planning tool to ensure all future work scopes can be fully resourced and known in good time in line with project and offshore operations procedures.
  • Responsible for goal setting and regular progress reviews of all direct reports in line with Claxton HR processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for achieving offshore personnel utilisation in line with key performance indicators.
  • Work collaboratively with all facets of the Great Yarmouth business and worldwide to achieve on time resource provision in line with Claxton Global intercompany procedures.
  • Review and approve where required offshore method statements and HSE documentation.
  • Review and approve time sheets, expenses claims and annual leave in line with company standards.
  • Ensure all pre and post job communications and paperwork is completed, checked and filed in line with company procedures an standards.
  • Manage team recruitment and third-party contractor evaluation in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Be focal point for day-to-day offshore operations
  • Support, guide, and coach Claxton OSTs in line with company procedures and policies.


Required

  • HNC/HND in related discipline
  • 5+ years relevant Offshore Operational Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing high performing teams desirable but not required
  • Knowledge of schedules, quality, deadlines & Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Safe Systems of Work, and legal regulations
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, WORD, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience of writing annual appraisals
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both within the organisation and client facing
  • Can deal with compassionate/welfare issues sensitively
  • Must possess self-belief, confident and the aptitude to learn rapidly
  • Self-motivated starter/finisher
