Do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs?

Monarch education, part of affinity workforce, are proud to be working closely with a large primary school in Sheldon, South Birmingham.

\n

\n

They are looking for Reception one to one Learning support assistant to support a child with SEN needs. This role is to work closely with the Reception Team and provide one-to-one support with a pupil who currently is waiting for an Autism Diagnosis.

\n

\n

The Primary school in Sheldon, South Birmingham are looking for a one to one Learning support assistant who has a positive outlook on life, wanting to make a meaningful impact on children's lives and someone who is proactive and has a passion to support children with special educational needs.

\n

\n

You will NEED to have experience with children with EHCP's, who have ASD and complex needs.

\n

\n

This is a full-time, long-term role, Monday to Friday to start ASAP for the full academic year for the right candidate -

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Provide one-on-one support.
  • \n
  • Implement and follow education, health, and care plans (EHCPs) to meet individual student needs.
  • \n
  • Support the social and emotional development of the student you are working with.
  • \n
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment for all children in the classroom.
  • \n
  • Conduct observations and monitor student progress, feeding back to SENCO's and appropriate leaders
  • \n
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
  • \n
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers.
  • \n
  • Provide regular feedback to the parents and ensure that the communications between school and home are at a high level
  • \n
\n

Qualifications and Experience:

\n
    \n
  • (Preferably) hold a level 3 qualification in education, ie. Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Education, SEN
  • \n
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting that we can reference in the last 2 years
  • \n
  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices and EHCP's
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • \n
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
  • \n
\n

£200 for any successful referral of Teachers and Teaching Assistants and one to one Learning Support Assistants that you refer to us after 20 days working with us.
