Role: Operating Department Practitioner
\n
Rates: £17.62 - £36.46 per hour
\n
Shifts: Available Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
\n- Monitor and maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient throughout the surgical procedure.
\n- To safely identify, prepare, check and assemble equipment required for the relevant operating list
\n- Prepare and organise the clinical area to receive patients for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures. \n
\n- Coordinate and maintain adequate stock levels of drugs, stores and implants liaising with the Theatre Manager and / Procurement.
\n- Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information using various methods to ensure effective understanding.
\n- Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills and prioritise the care for patients undergoing a surgical / anaesthetic procedure.
\n- Contribute to the continuing development of patient care within the operating theatres, e.g. through sharing knowledge and expertise as required.

Essential Qualifications:
\n
\n- Current NMC/HCPC registration
\n- At least 1 years' post-graduate experience.
\n- 6 months recent UK experience within the last 3 years
\n
