Operational Risk Analyst

RELOCATING TO GIBRALTAR A leading commodity trading house with a global presence are searching for an Operational Risk Analyst to join their Operational Risk department in Gibraltar. As part of the Operational Risk department, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of the risk strategy, ensuring the integrity and resilience of their operations.Position Overview: As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the business operations and reputation by identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the organization. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the implementation of Operational Risk framework across core and emerging commercial and operational activitiesConduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate operational risks associated with trading activities, processes, systems, and controls.Monitor and analyze key risk indicators to proactively identify emerging risks and trends.Helping to devise and implement and Enterprise Risk Management framework and Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.Conduct root cause analysis of risk events and incidents to identify opportunities for process improvements and control enhancements.Assist in the development and implementation of risk reporting and monitoring tools to enhance visibility and transparency of operational risks.Qualifications:Either proven experience in operational risk management or within the Marine Fuels trading industry.Strong understanding of commodity trading operations, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.Solid knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.The role is hybrid (3 days in the Gibraltar office) with a salary range of £50-80k, flexible for the right candidate.
