Operations Director, West Yorkshire, Up to £100k (+package - Bonus, Pension, Private Medical)
My Client, a well established, profitable and growing business in West Yorkshire, a leader in its niche in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a commercially astute operations expert to improve the current systems and processes and push the business to achieve even greater efficiency and success.
Responsibilities include:-
* Safety - drive a culture of SHEQ compliance
* People - lead, motivate, multi skill and develop the teams
* Operations - critically review effectiveness, productivity and performance, take action to correct and eliminate problems
* Sales - supporting the effective delivery of the sales strategy, take action to improve performance
* Transport/Logistics - Seek out improvements and efficiencies to enhance the current operation
* Profitability - make commercial decisions in line with the business strategy
* Manage the operation to achieve the business objectives
The role would suit an existing leader, comfortable at working in a fast paced and challenging environment, preferably from the UK Manufacturing Industry, an expert at managing production lines, highly effective running a transport and logistics operation and a CI/Lean practitioner. An inquisitive mindset constantly challenging the ways of doing things, looking for a better way to do it is what is needed.
