Operations & Maintenance Manager | High Growth Renewable Energy Scale-up | MidlandsThe companyHarmonic is partnering with a rapidly scaling Renewable Energy scale-up pioneering the development of renewable energy assets across the UK. Backed by one of the most impressive clean energy investors in the UK, the business has ambitious plans over the next few years and a high-performance finance team will be at the heart of this.They are now looking for a commercially focused FP&A Analyst to support the CFO with their next phase of growth, professionalise the finance function and execute strategic projects including future fundraising and M&A.They are based in a luxury office space in Oxford city centre, a short walk from the train station. The team is a diverse, high-performance bunch all dedicated to the company mission to decarbonise the energy generation and drive for net zero.The Role:The Operations & Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of hydrogen production facilities, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include managing production, maintenance, and safety protocols; developing strategies to enhance plant productivity and cost-effectiveness; leading and mentoring a team of technicians and operators; and implementing a remote monitoring solution. The role also involves reviewing process engineering documents, contributing to safety studies, and generating reports to drive continuous improvement.The successful candidate must be willing to occasionally travel within the UK and overseasResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate all aspects of hydrogen plant operations, including production, maintenance, and safety protocols.Develop and implement strategies to enhance plant efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.Manage the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.Lead a team of skilled technicians and operators, providing training, mentorship, and performance management.Review process engineering documents and contribute to safety studies.Analyse plant data and generate comprehensive reports to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.Oversee the development and implementation of a remote monitoring solution for the plant.RequirementsDegree in relevant technical field (e.g., process engineering, mechanical engineering, energy systems engineering)3 years+ experience in the hydrogen, energy, chemical or plant engineering industriesA full UK driving licenceKnowledge of compressed gases, pressure systems & Pressure Equipment DirectivesKnowledge of ATEX Directives & the Explosive atmospheresSalary: £50,000 - £60,000Location: Oxford (with travel to sites in the Midlands)Please get in touch with Thomas (#####) if this is of interest and feel free to share with friends and colleagues.At Harmonic, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
